Great Give Day is returning on May 9, 2019 and the Garnavillo Historical Society is again taking part! This 24-hour online giving day is presented by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque to celebrate and support the work of nonprofit organizations throughout the region. This is an opportunity for us to raise much needed dollars

THANK YOU to Clayton County Foundation for the Future, Aureon and our private donors for helping us complete our “Lighting Up History” project at the Garnavillo museum. Thank you to B&M Electric for doing the installation. Things are much brighter now, especially in the basement area!

Thank you to all our donors and fund raiser workers for making the restoration of the Lodge Hall exterior possible!  This was the year’s big project and supported totally by private donations and fund raisers. Twenty members and ten guests gathered November 13th at the Thoma Dairy Bar & Café, Garnavillo, for the Garnavillo Historical Society’s annual appreciation supper and corporate meeting. A delicious soup and sandwich supper was enjoyed by all. Society board member David Beck gave an interesting slide & video presentation on the 1902 Crestmobile, first “car”
