Historical Society Annual Meeting 2022

Grant Received for “New Entry into the Past”

The Garnavillo Historical Society received $4,500 in grant funds from the Upper Mississippi Gaming Corporation (UMGC) at their Annual Grant Awards Ceremony held Tuesday, October 25 at the Casino Queen, Marquette.  The money received will go towards the replacement of the Garnavillo Museum’s front entry steel door and wooden threshold.  Historical Society volunteers and members,

Cabin Face-Lift

The exterior of the Historical Society’s log cabin in the Garnavillo Park was recently “re-chinked.” A 3-man crew from “888-Log-Guys” out of Ozark, Missouri, completed the work over a 3 day period. “Chinking” (sometimes called “daubing”), is the process of filling the gaps between the individual logs. 160 Year Old Law Office Gets Freshened Up

The late start to winter benefited the Garnavillo Historical Society’s tuckpointing project at the Clefisch Law Office, 108 S.
